I've opened Palatino (T1) in Suitcase Fusion, all weights, etc. When I'm in inDesign and want to choose Palatino Bold, for instance, it's not available, only the "bold oldstyle figures" that I don't want. There are a few other weights that I don't see as well in inDesign. Yet when I went to Photoshop to see if it was there, no problem. It was open and selectable. So were other missing weights.
Note: if it matters, the truetype version of Palatino is open too (Mac library)
Suggestions?

Re: Opened font available in Photoshop, but not InDesign
Wed, February 11, 2009 - 1:40 PMAn additional observation on what I wrote.
In Suitcase, some of the Open Adobe Type 1 fonts are named differently, but you can figure them out:
Palatino Roman, as shown in Suitcase doesn't seem to appear in InDesign. Light and medium do, then no bold, then skips to Black.
These don't appear in my list in InDesign, but again do appear in Photoshop as selectable.
Italics versions of these weren't mentioned but seem to be subject to the same problem as their roman counterpart.
