In Photoshop you can use transparency gradients, or layer masks with black/white gradients...is there any way to do this in InDesign? (I'm trying to fade out a grey on black vector pattern background to straight black. Do I have to make the background as a flat 'placeable' file in PS first?)

Maybe I'm missing something...I barely understand blend modes.

Re: transparency gradient?
Tue, April 10, 2007 - 7:41 AMunfortunately, none of the blend modes produce a solid-to-transparency gradient affect like you can get in photoshop...
